Flourishing: Staff Scholarships

At Untold, we continue to pursue flourishing for all. This includes our incredible East African staff who works tirelessly with our clients. We’re very proud to be able to offer scholarship funds specifically designated for their personal development.

Our scholarship program was born in 2018, when our Kenyan Co-Founder and Country Director, Cornel Onyango, recognized a need amongst our staff. As our organization continued to grow, Untold employees needed the opportunity to grow with it. Since 2018, we have had 218 organizational employees benefit from the scholarship program to continue their education and better serve our clients.

Mwanaidi is one of our exceptional center staff in Kilifi, Kenya and a current beneficiary of an Untold scholarship. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in development studies at Mount Kenya University.

The financial support Mwanaidi is receiving has allowed her to develop critical skills in community development. Her newfound skills allow her to better engage with her community and allow her to be more effective in her role serving clients.

We’re very excited to watch this program continue to grow and bear fruit from the efforts of our staff!
